Satuday 10rd May - walk *** – Falkenham Chuch – walk and picnic – sunny and warm!

There was a chance of a windsuf foil in the afternoon so we had a lovely morning in the sunny back garden, me doing my exercises while Mag did alsorts from sieving compost to cleaning windows, I did the patio doors and buggered up my shoulder in the process, there ae no advantages in getting old! Still the wind did not look like it was going to arrive so I made a salad and we drove over to Falkenham Church to enjoy the peace and quiet:) We parked and as we walked past the horse paddock we spotted a blue tit which had a nest in an old metal gate post so we stopped to watch, lovely it was too! We sat on our favourite seat with great views down to the River Deben for our picnic but the breeze had picked up here and it was quite chilly so we moved aound to the front of the church for our cuppa in the shelteed sunshine, the only downside being Mags coffee got spilled but we did see twn squirrels playing chase me round a tree! We then did our inland circular walk around farmland with loads of the hedgerows in bloom with loads of salad crops in the fields. There was a very pretty field of white and purple set aside for wildlife which we stopped by to take several pics. There was a few walkers about enjoying the good weather and a cyclists doing curcuits, he actually passed us three times! Then up past the sewage works, spotting two oyster catchers in a field and back to the van getting fairly knackered by now! Then home for a cuppa and I checked the wind online for the seafront which had been quite light so I did not miss any windsurfing! With Maeva heading to Devon with her mum and dad to meet up with her cousin we had to go round to feed their cats which seemed pleased to see us!
Some wind forecast for tomorrow but will have to see how my shoulder is first???
